What we collect
- If you apply to work with us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the work you do, when you are free and your experience. We keep applications for up to one year, or delete them when you ask.
- The details you enter when you request a job: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the job and when suits you.
- If you turn on alerts, a technical address from your browser that lets us send notifications to your device. It does not identify you by name.
- If you rate a job: your star rating and any comment you add.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your request, give you a price, arrange the job with the professional who will do it, and send the alerts you asked for. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract.
Who we share it with
We share the details needed to do the job (your first name, the address and the job) with the professional we send. They also see your star rating and comment for their job. We never show your name with a rating. A professional's average rating may appear on their profile on this website. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
If you work with us
We keep your name, contact details, trades, the areas you cover, the checks you have shown us, your photo, the jobs you do and the ratings you get. We use them to offer you work and to run the five-star bonus. If you agree, we show your first name and initial, photo, trades, areas, the checks you have passed and your average rating on this website. If you say no to a job offer, we do not record it.
How long we keep it
We keep job requests for up to two years, and records of completed jobs for as long as tax law requires. Alert addresses are deleted when you turn alerts off or remove the app.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app saves a copy of its pages on your device so it can open quickly and work offline.
